Our first glimpse into Ulduar was definitely filled with excitement. We one shot the extremely easy Flame Leviathan, but were shortly thereafter locked out of zoning into Ulduar. Apparently the Northrend world server went down, so the only people we could keep online were the ones who didn't release after dying, and were still on the Ulduar instance server. After playing a few hands of Texas Hold'em within the guild on Yahoo Games over the next hour or two, we came to the conclusion that Blizzard just wasn't going to let us back in the instance to kill the next boss. Not wanting to let a night go to waste, we ventured into the Vault of Archavon to meet his new friend, Emalon. Emalon put up a bit more of a fight than his roommate, but didn't quite have enough to prevent his own execution. Even with the technical difficulties however, everyone seemed to have that fire in their voice that the months of farming the initial content had extinguished. While not a huge server first, I want to congratulate everyone on a job well done. Following our 25 man raid, a few of us decided to go in and see what the 10 man version had in store. After steamrolling Flame Leviathan, we decided to take a few attempts at Razorscale and found him to be quite the push over also. I believe Razorscale might be another server first, but I can't be positive on that yet, nor do these initial bosses mean much towards progressional rankings. There is much more killing ahead of us however... I for one, can hardly wait. - Sane
